DNS

Domain Name System (DNS) is the fundamental system in computer networks that transforms human-readable domain names into machine-readable IP addresses.

This global organized system operates as the internet’s address book, allowing for smooth navigation of web resources.

When a user types a domain name (such as www.tttrerre.com) into a web browser, the DNS system resolves it to the matching IP address, permitting the browser to locate the desired web server.

DNS uses a distributed database to store domain name information, which is made up of several DNS servers throughout the world.

The process involves both recursive and authoritative DNS servers.

The recursive server operates at an intermediate level, searching many trusted servers until it finds the IP address connected with the requested domain.

This hierarchical structure improves efficiency and scalability, allowing for faster and more accurate domain name addressing.
